September 22 @ The Cockpit

THE year of hard-gigging continues for Royworld, the young bucks obsessed with 80s pop who music business insiders have been heavily tipping for success.

About to release the fourth single, Brakes, the four-piece who include Robert Parkin and Timmy Miles from Harrogate, have just completed four academy dates with The B-52s and have appearances to follow at the Summer Sundae weekender in Leicester, the V Festival in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, the Last Days of Summer Festival in Northampton and Bestival on the Isle of Wight.

After that they're embarking on another headline tour – their second of 2008 – which includes a gig at Leeds Cockpit on September 22.

Tickets are available in advance from Jumbo and Crash Records.

l Royworld's debut album, Man in the Machine, is available now. For more on the band visit www.royworld.co.uk
