HAVING excited much music press coverage – and a chart hit to boot – with their first major label single Geraldine, Glasvegas look to build on their momentum with their biggest UK tour to date.

The Dalmarnock quartet, who've been loudly championed by former Creation Records boss Alan McGee, have lined up 16 shows – including the Cockpit in Leeds on Monday, September 15. Tickets are available in advance from Jumbo and Crash Records or from www.lunatickets.co.uk.

The band's next release will be a re-recording of their second single, Daddy's Gone, on August 25; their eponymous debut album follows on September 8.

Recorded in New York with Franz Ferdinand and Muse producer Rich Costey, it'll be a 10-track affair that includes new versions of their much-sought-after early 45s It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry and Go Square Go.
