Sennen
July 4 @ The Cockpit
SHOEGAZING, that 1990s cult of floppy-haired young men staring intently at their footwear while playing distorted electric guitars, is back among us.
And leading the charge is Sennen, four ex-University of East Anglia students with a shared love of Spacemen 3, Sonic Youth and the fuzzy early work of Teenage Fanclub.
Roping in former House of Love producer Pat Collier to helm sessions for their latest album Where the Light Gets In, the band fuse vocal harmonies with six-string pyrotechnics.
Having supported the likes of Editors, Ulrich Schauss and Leeds's own iLiKETRAiNS, Sennen are now embarking on a headline tour of their own. It visits The Cockpit on July 4. Tickets are available in advance from Jumbo and Crash Records.
