THE lasses of Leeds are among the sexiest in Britain according to a new poll of men under 30.
But Geordie girls were crowned best of British in the nationwide poll, with Newcastle home to beauties such as Cheryl Cole from Girls Aloud and model Donna Air.

Leeds, which has produced lookers like model Nell McAndrew and actress Angela Griffin, came a respectable sixth.

Researchers quizzed 3,000 men under 30 to find Glasgow girls voted the ugliest – closely followed by those from Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester. London come second in the list of loveliest ladies, while Edinburgh girls were labelled third sexiest, followed by Bristol and Nottingham, ahead of Leeds, Oxford, Cardiff and Brighton.

John Sewell, of www.onepoll.com which conducted the survey, said: "I'm surprised to see Glasgow winning the ugliest city when gorgeous celebrities like TV's Jenni Falconer and actress Kelly Macdonald come from there.

"Single men will be flocking to Newcastle now."
