We get the lowdown and a little random Q&A with sexy Sorenna Rostampour
This 21-year-old fashion graduate from Leeds College of Art and Design is also one of the door pickers at one of the city's top superclubs.
But life began in Burnley where his Iranian father Mansour set up a kebab shop after leaving Iran in the 1970s.
Sorenna, who currently lives in Woodhouse, decided to take a different career path after sampling textiles while at secondary school. After getting ten GCSEs he went on to take a BTEC and an A-Level in fashion.
He has just completed his BA Hons in Fashion and Clothing design and the renowned college and showcased his work in a spectacular end of year catwalk show.
Despite this he doesn't want to design clothes directly, he wants to become a buyer for a large fashion house. He's currently looking at career opportunities in Leeds and elsewhere, but is also considering going on to take an MA at another university.
For the past three years he's juggled his academic life with working on the door at Gatecrasher Seven on New Briggate, monitoring queues, working on reception and deciding who does and, more importantly, who doesn't make it into the club.
The best thing about Leeds has to be the vibe brought in from all the thousands of students here. I know a lot of people say it, but it really does create a great buzz in the city. It makes it such a colourful place to live, party and relax in. You only have to look at how quiet it is when the students aren't here to realise what a difference they make.
My first job was selling pies in Burnley Football Club's fast food kiosks - not very glamorous.
I know it sounds bad but I must admit to getting a bit of a power rush from picking who can and can't come in - but someone has to do it. People turn up all the time in the weirdest stuff like tracksuits and fancy dress. Actually we don't mind fancy dress if it's done with a bit of class or humour, like on Saturday we let in a big group of sailors - they were all cool, but nothing too tacky. The strangest thing I find is that people come up to the till and try and haggle on the entry price, as if they're buying spuds on a market or something. It's strange because they have no qualms about arguing with you, especially if the entry fee on any given night is more than £10, for some reason people seem to object to that and try and get it down to £8 or £9, and they don't seem to mind standing bartering with you over a few quid.
I have lots of different philosophies on life so I just think the best thing to do is to go wild on every aspect of life - but if I had to pick one it would be: if you don't ask then you don't get! You can apply that ethos to just about any area of life.
The best piece of advice I received came from a great teacher I had at school who told me: "You should never be afraid to ask 'why?'" and because of that I now don't shut up and continually ask it of everyone about virtually everything.
What was your childhood like? Good fun I think! I went to a good school, I have a great family and had everything I wanted - lucky me! It was a pretty conventional upbringing really, nothing unusual, three holidays a year, that sort of thing. My dad was always quite strict, but always in a positive way and always for our own good.
The last time I cried was when I watched 'The Land Before Time', (cartoon movie) so sad, I know.
My proudest moment came recently actually when I saw my final collection on the catwalk - it was the end result of three years of blood, sweat and tears - and it paid off I reckon. I think I'm proud of all my educational achievements throughout my life, my dad always taught me the importance of an education, he was the one who insisted I take an A level as well as doing a BTEC just to be on the safe side.
A fact about myself that might surprise other people is that I'm a really fast runner and a good athlete, I always have been ever since I was at school - oh, and I am stupidly scared of toe socks, don't ask me why.
What's the one thing I couldn't live without? A good moisturiser
If I could meet anyone alive or dead I'd love to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger for some reason. I don't know why but I think he's great and I want to see him in real life if only to find out how big he really is.
My first kiss? Hmmm, I used to kiss loads of people at school, and I think I fancied my sister's friends.
To chill I love just to sit outside, weather permitting, in Hyde Park which is just across the road from my house. Other than that I'm never happier than watching Friends on DVD with a cup of tea or illustrating things. That all does me nicely.
Tell us a joke: A hundred prostitutes in Washington D.C. were asked if they would ever sleep with President Clinton and 60% said: 'Never again'
