Leeds's perennial club night takes a well-earned break
Bosses of superclub Gatecrasher Seven have confirmed they've parted company with Speed Queen - albeit temporarily.

The 12-year-old favourite has been at the New Briggate venue for almost 12 months, moving from Rehab on Assembly Street where it relocated in 2006.

The night has always struggled to create the same buzz it experienced during its decade at The Warehouse, but Gatecrasher seven insist this isn't the beginning of the end.

The club's head of marketing and media, Lisa Barraclough, said: "Speed Queen are currently taking a break from running events in the city over the summer.

"Gatecrasher Seven has hosted some fabulous Speedqueen events in the past 12 months and hope to see Speed Queen back at the club later on in the year…long live the queen!"
